  1. I think that with most technology, there is good and there is bad. This same debate existed when computers were introduced. People even wondered if the computer would replace the teacher. We can use cellphones in the classroom but with restrictions. These will ensure the most effective use of this teaching tool.

  2. Good information here. Yes, because of memory and storage, there may be a few issues with the smartphone. These types of devices are invaluable and are here to stay, however, a good teacher can never be replaced.

  3. Memory storage only becomes a disadvantage depending on the type of information you wish to store. Many smart phones have expandable memory slots allowing one to upgrade capacity to that far in excess of computers used 10 years ago!

  4. Smartphones are good educational devices which most of our students have. Our children have to be taught how to use them effectively for their educational benefit and this is where the challenge lie. Nevertheless, smartphones do have their advantages and we must always highlight the beneits and how they can work in schools and put the necessary penalties in place to deal with the fallouts. Everything has its good and bad but we must not let that prevent us from utilizing the technology to our benefit.
